Beets contain vitamins, minerals, lots of antioxidants, and fiber. We should have beets on our dinner table as often as possible. Beets also clean the colon very effectively. It’s chemical composition is due to it’s strongly alkaline and nutritionally dense environment. The Greek goddess of love, Aphrodite, bestowed them their beauty.

Many of the vitamins and minerals that are in beets are: Vitamins A, B, and C, Folic Acid, Iron, Potassium (2 beets contain up to 528 mg of potassium!), Magnesium, Betamina (regulates the liver, bile ducts, and the gallbladder- an excellent remedy for anyone that has problems with their liver or gall bladder), Rubidium, Cesium, Calcium, Cobalt, Manganese, and dietary Fiber.

It’s thanks to sugar that beets are sweet and have some calories. But they are not simple sugars and they are not rapidly released into the bloodstream (unlike chocolate). Beets are strongly recommended for athletes and active people. Beets contain Betaine, the same substance that is used to treat some forms of depression. They also contain Tryptophan, a kind of “mind relaxer” and actives the “reward center” of the brain (just like chocolate). Folic Acid has soothing and calming effects to help you fall asleep.

Beets are a main ingredient in DuoLife Night and ProDeacid.
