The sacroiliac joint or SI joint (SIJ) is the joint between your sacrum and the ilium bone fragments of the pelvis, which can be linked by strong ligaments. In humans, the sacrum helps the spine and it is supported subsequently by an ilium on each aspect. The joint is a solid, weight transferral synovial airplane joint with unusual elevations and depressions that produce interlocking of both bones. Our body has two sacroiliac joint parts, one on the still left and one on the right, that often match the other person but are highly adjustable from individual to individual.
