A man in South Carolina won more than $100,00 after using a lottery strategy that he learned from a show – spending $25 per week on Powerball tickets for three months.
The winner, who has not been identified, claims to have been inspired by an episode of TLC’s ‘Lottery Changed My Life.’
For three months, he experimented by spending $25 per week on lottery tickets and was patient enough to see his strategy come to fruition.

By the end of this week, which was his seventh time he played the state’s lottery, the man won the grand prize of $100,000.
‘I didn’t even know how to play Powerball,’ he chuckled, adding that he bought the winning lottery ticket at a gas station in Hanahan.

While comparing this week’s winning numbers with the ones he chose, the man said he initially thought that he had only matched two numbers.
His wife, however, took his ticket and compared both sets of numbers once more, only to notice that her husband had chosen the winning Powerball number.
After looking at his ticket again, the man realized five numbers matched, one short of winning the jackpot in the drawing on May 28.
He won an amount of $50,000, 4d result but because he spent an extra dollar on PowerPlay, he ended up doubling the prize money, accumulating $100,000. In total, the winner pocketed $69,000 after taxes.
Since being announced as the winner, the man has wasted no time in buying himself a new car.
He hopes, however, 萬字 to win more, as he is still spending $25 a week on lottery tickets.
‘I’m going to finish out the three months,’ he said.
The winner, who has chosen not to reveal himself, said he came up with the winning strategy after being inspired by an episode of the TV reality show ‘Lottery Change My Life’
The odds of matching four white ball numbers and the red Powerball number are one in 913,129, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery.
The gas station that sold than the winning ticket — Kwik Fill in Hanahan — received a commission of $1,000.
The next Powerball jackpot in South Carolina is $312 million.
Lottery tickets sold within the state are $2 and the odds of winning the jackpot are one in 293 million.
The winner declined to be publicly identified, according to lottery spokesperson Holli Armstrong.
